Fire Safety Month

In 1922, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) named the second week of October Fire Prevention Week in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. Today we celebrate Fire Prevention Week and Month all throughout October by educating communities and encouraging families to practice fire prevention at home. While fire prevention month is a great time to discuss fire safety at home, Legacy Medical Sales would like to take this opportunity to spotlight our emergency service personnel. FirstNet Authority Senior Fire Services Advisor Gary McCarraher said, “Firefighting is a unique profession; you can go to work and do everything right and still make the ultimate sacrifice in service to your community. This has been magnified during the COVID-19 pandemic as firefighters continue to serve day-in and day-out.”

Firefighters aren’t the only people who work at your local fire department. Jobs there include Fire Captain, investigators, engineers, paramedics, and fire marshals. We provide equipment and supplies for these heroes to perform their jobs safely and effectively. Products such as backboards, head blocks, restraint harnesses, and splints are essential for paramedics responding to certain fire situations. Isolation kits, first aid kits, OB kits, and other supplies are available now for anyone responding to an emergency call. Most of our EMS products are sourced from Morrison Medical, the most trusted brand in the EMS Industry since 1970.

As a way of saying thank you to our fire safety heroes, Legacy Medical Sales would like to offer a 10% discount to all EMS and fire departments through November 5 by using code FIRE10 at Thank you all for your continued support and service to our communities everyday.
